RFP 48 connects two mobility standards: DECT, which enables the use of mobile system phones, and an integrated WLAN Access Point, which provides flexible access of PCs or other workstations to the companies network.
The WLAN Access Point allows the installation of WLAN hot-spots, e.g. in conference rooms.
It includes a separate mounting bracket to ease installation and wire routing needs. It can be mounted on the wall or in the ceilling.
RFP 48 offers significant advantages compared to a separate infrastructure for DECT and WLAN:
Only one access point for both technologies (DECT and WLAN)
Only one switch-port is required (PoE recommended)
Integrated, centralized management and set up for DECT and WLAN
All DECT channels supported for maximum use of the DECT capacity
8 simultaneous voice channels
GAP standard supported
DSAA authentication between base and handset
Support of DECT encryption
Integrated DECT dipole antenna
Supports Over-the-Air Synchronization
No base-station licenses required for up to 5 base-station deployments
QoS supported by Diffserv / ToS
